On this week's episode of The Big Podcast with Shaq, the Hall of Famer responded to a question about the new couple with a simple forecast: "Six weeks." When co-host Adam Lefkoe asked if he thought the relationship would even last into the fall, Shaq shook his head no.
Thompson, 35, and Megan, 30, went public earlier this month after dropping subtle hints online. On July 12, Thompson posted a photo carousel featuring a woman who looked a lot like Megan — and a few days later, he confirmed things to Us Weekly, praising her charitable work and calling it an "honor" to be by her side.
But O'Neal, 53, has been around long enough to spot the Hollywood honeymoon phase. And he may still be carrying a little baggage of his own. Years ago, the NBA legend shot his shot with Megan during an Instagram Live. Nothing ever came of it, but the attempt didn't go unnoticed.
Thompson has had several high-profile relationships over the years, starting with social media personality Hannah Stocking in 2014. That ended after cheating allegations. He's also been linked to actress Laura Harrier (2018-2020), singer Coco Jones (2021-2023), and a handful of others.
Megan, for her part, has kept most of her dating history more private. Until now.
