Browns' Shedeur Sanders, Myles Garrett Share Playful Sideline Moment

Shedeur Sanders made an impressive debut for the Cleveland Browns on Friday night, throwing for 138 yards and two touchdowns in a 30-10 win over the Carolina Panthers. But amid his notable moments, it was Myles Garrett who delivered a memorable sideline exchange that might have given the rookie quarterback a dose of reality.

In a game where Sanders showcased his ability to extend plays and escape pressure, he engaged Garrett in a playful yet insightful conversation. As Sanders, wearing a microphone, asked the star defensive end whether some of his moves would have worked had Garrett been on the other side, Garrett responded with a healthy dose of confidence.

"Hey, Myles, you think like my spin move would work on you?" Sanders asked.

Garrett's reply? "No. It worked today. It was good stuff. It wouldn't work on me, though."

The exchange quickly turned into a valuable teaching moment for the young quarterback. Sanders asked Garrett what he would be looking for on such plays. Garrett, ever the technician, explained that his approach would be to get upfield and flush Sanders into the waiting arms of other defenders.

But Sanders wasn't ready to back down. "I wanna feel one of your swipes, one of those aggressive grabs," he said, eager for a real test.

Garrett, ever the mentor, smiled and responded: "You a good kid. I don't want to have to hurt you, bro. We gonna need you, brother."

While Sanders will no doubt have plenty of opportunities to test his skills against Garrett in practice, it's clear he's lucky he won't have to face the NFL Defensive Player of the Year in a real game anytime soon. With Garrett's career total of 102.5 sacks over 117 games, Sanders is undoubtedly glad to be on Garrett's side of the field for now.
