Taylor Swift's much-hyped sit-down with Jason Kelce and Kansas City Chiefs star Travis Kelce on the New Heights podcast drew so much attention Tuesday night that it briefly knocked the YouTube premiere off the air. No, really.

At one point, 1.2 million people were tuned in live to watch Swift's first extended podcast interview. The stream debuted at 7 p.m. Eastern and was still rolling along at 8:45 when the video faded to black in the middle of a conversation about her new album, The Life of a Showgirl.

Before the glitch, Swift had talked with the Kelce brothers about buying back her music, the Eras Tour and how Kansas City coach Andy Reid helped introduce her to Travis. She shared how she's now more invested in football and revealed she once attended a Chiefs game against the Bears by slipping through the general admission gates in a hat and mask without being recognized.

The podcast's social media team posted a message acknowledging the outage, and reactions poured in across the internet. Among the many watching was WNBA star Caitlin Clark, who had already joked about how the appearance might "break the internet."
It was easy to see why the viewership was so high. This was Swift's first real podcast interview, giving fans a chance to watch her interact naturally with both Kelce brothers. The conversation offered a different side of her public persona, part music superstar and part regular guest at the dinner table.

By 9:45 p.m., an archived version of the one hour and 45 minute interview was posted in full. Whether that is the entire conversation or there is more to come is still unclear. What is clear is that few things can bring a streaming service to its knees quite like Taylor Swift.
