Brooke Hogan just flipped the script on one of the biggest scandals in wrestling-adjacent pop culture. Calling into Bubba the Love Sponge's radio show, Brooke shared a major revelation about what her father, WWE legend Hulk Hogan, told her about the infamous sex tape leak that wrecked friendships, careers, and headlines back in 2012.

According to Brooke, Hulk once told her directly that Bubba — real name Todd Clem — wasn't the one who leaked the tape.
"I want to tell you that I was down in my dad's gym with him back when they set up the sting operation, because somebody was going to try to extort him for the tape," Brooke said during the emotional call. "And my dad told me that he knew it wasn't you that leaked the tape. I've been watching you take the heat for it and I've been hearing you say sorry, and I know that you have a guilty conscience."
Brooke even referenced security footage from Clem's home that allegedly shows one of his employees swiping the tape.
That left Clem floored.
"My life would have been so much different if he would've just let that be known," he said on air. "You're the only person that I've ever talked to that has stepped up. I'm almost in tears of your generosity of offering me that information."

For years, public opinion pointed fingers at Clem. After all, the tape was filmed at his house, with his then-wife, Heather, and he gave the OK to record it. When the video ended up on Gawker, Clem became a central villain in the saga, despite claiming he wasn't behind the leak.
The fallout was nuclear. The tape revealed racially charged remarks from Hogan, leading to his dismissal from WWE. Hogan went on to sue Clem for invasion of privacy, and the two eventually reached a settlement, with Clem issuing a public apology that further cemented the perception that he was at fault.
Now, more than a decade later, Brooke's comments are throwing a wrench into that long-standing narrative.
Even after all the drama and lawsuits, Clem has stayed loosely in the loop, even discussing Hogan's health in recent interviews. He also hasn't been shy about airing his own opinion on what he sees as the wrestling icon's biggest misstep.
But thanks to Brooke's bombshell, the story might not be as cut and dry as people once believed.
