The Atlanta Dream's WNBA win over the Chicago Sky on Wednesday night ended with another unnecessary and unwanted distraction.

In the final seconds of Atlanta's 86-65 victory, an object was thrown onto the court as Chicago's Rachel Banham brought the ball up. It landed behind the players, but play was halted briefly while officials cleared the floor.
Security at Wintrust Arena questioned two individuals in connection with the incident, according to reporter Colin Salao. The pair were spotted taking selfies while being held by security, then left without charges after officials determined there was no proof they were responsible.

This marks at least the third recent WNBA game to be disrupted by a similar incident, and frustration is growing around the league.
Minnesota Lynx head coach Cheryl Reeve addressed the issue after practice Thursday, calling it unacceptable and harmful.
"It's not funny," Reeve said. "The sexualization of women is what's used to hold women down, and this is not different. This is just its latest form, and we should write about it in that way. These people that are doing it should be held accountable. We're not the butt of the joke. They're the problem, and we need to take action."
The WNBA has not announced any formal changes to security protocols, but league voices are making it clear that this behavior has no place in the game.
Beyond these instances, though, the WNBA has generated little buzz this summer, with league face Caitlin Clark spending the majority of the season on the injured list.
