Sylvester Stallone says he knew early on that Hulk Hogan had the makings of a global star, and that their work together on Rocky III helped launch the wrestling icon into another stratosphere.

Speaking in The Real Hulk Hogan, now streaming on Hulu, Stallone recalled meeting a young Hogan in 1982, just as the future WWE Hall of Famer was starting to make his way in both wrestling and acting. Even then, Stallone says, Hogan had a presence that was impossible to ignore.
"Certain people just have it," Stallone said. "Hulk was at the very beginning of his career, and he started putting it all together during that film. The rest is history."
Stallone also shared how Hogan, billed as "Thunderlips" in the movie, went out of his way to protect him during their wrestling scenes, taking the brunt of the falls despite weighing more than 300 pounds.
According to Stallone, Hogan's fearlessness and drive set him apart, paving the way for achievements that would change the face of professional wrestling.
"Hulk was in a class of his own," Stallone said. "We'll never see anyone quite like him again."
